Training and Self Improvement

A career as a Disability Service Worker means you are working in a professional environment supporting individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities living in our community.

The needs of the people we care for vary, so you as a professional in the field will need to remain flexible, adaptable, knowledgeable and positive in everything you do.

St. Paul Abilities Network provides training in all aspects of service provision, which varies depending on the individuals you are working with. Our expectation is that you make every effort to use your current knowledge, skills and abilities, by keeping up to date on best practices and innovative thinking in your particular field and/or in the area you wish to persue as a career.

There are numerous webinar and discussion papers available to staff to improve their knowledge, skills and abilities and through this persuite of excellence provide better service to individuals and improve their quality of life.
